How ‘bout those Chiiieeeefffsss! For the third straight year, the Chiefs are Super Bowl-bound!

• Third Times a Charm: Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Chiefs took down the Buffalo Bills in a thrilling 32-29 victory last night at Arrowhead. The quest continues for the Chiefs to become the first team in NFL history to three-peat as Super Bowl champs.

• See Ya in NOLA: The Chiefs will now head to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9th. They will take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who crushed the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship game. The game will serve as a rematch of Super Bowl LVII in 2023 when the Chiefs narrowly beat the Eagles 38-35.

Thinking about going to the game? Tickets to Super Bowl LIX are currently hovering around $5,300 for nosebleeds.

Tropical Smoothie Café Coming Soon to Power and Light

National smoothie chain Tropical Smoothie Café will soon open its newest metro location inside the Power and Light District.

• Smoothie Says: Tropical Smoothie Café will open at 1360 Walnut St. in PNC Plaza inside the heart of the Power and Light District in downtown KCMO. The restaurant currently operates over 15 metro locations and nearly 1,500 nationwide.

• Good Food: Tropical Smoothie Café is known for its healthy, made-to-order smoothies and bowls, which are packed with sustainably sourced ingredients. It also offers sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more. PNC Plaza is also home to Chiptole, ProteinHouse, Insomnia Cookies, and Modern Market Eatery.

The new location in Power and Light is expected to be open this spring.

Local Police Offer Safe Public Meetup Locations for Facebook Marketplace Transactions

Kansas City area police are encouraging community members using Facebook Marketplace for transactions to use safe public meetup locations. Here are eight police stations across the metro that offer designated internet exchange areas in their parking lots:

1. Central Patrol 1200 E Linwood, Kansas City, MO

2. Metro Patrol 7601 Prospect, Kansas City, MO

3. East Patrol 2601 Prospect, Kansas City, MO

4. North Patrol 1100 NW Prairie View, Kansas City, MO

5. South Patrol 9701 Marion Park Dr, Kansas City, MO

6. Shoal Creek Patrol 6801 NE Pleasant Valley Rd Kansas City, MO

7. Overland Park PD 12400 Foster St, Overland Park, KS

8. Lee’s Summit PD 10 NE Tudor Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086

All of these locations are patrolled by cameras for safe transactions.

A New Pizza Spot is Coming to Olathe

Locally-owned Ava Rae’s Pizzeria & Pub is coming soon to Olathe.

• Neighborhood Pies: Ava Rae’s will open at 11168 S. Lone Elm Road on the north side of Olathe. The team wants to be a family-friendly neighborhood spot with a slogan of “community, family, and local”.

• Pizza & Community: The restaurant will offer made-to-order pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, and the area’s largest selection of local and regional craft beers. It will also offer exclusive discounts to local first responders and educators.
