Kansas City Wants Your Input on Its 2050 Transportation Plan
The City of Kansas City is building KC on the Move, a strategic plan for how people will get around the city through 2050, and the public survey closes tomorrow.
Get Moving: The plan will shape how you travel around KC, how the city prioritizes transportation projects, and how it prepares for future growth. It covers walking, biking, transit, driving, freight and delivery, and emerging options like scooters and motorized wheelchairs. The city’s 2023 comprehensive plan named it an immediate priority.
Speak Up: Right now, the city is gathering feedback on transportation priorities across the city, and that phase wraps up Friday, October 30th. From there, planners will work on scenario planning this winter and funding strategies next spring, with the final plan expected in summer 2027.
