It’s Teal Rising Week in Kansas City

KC Daily

The Kansas City Current is hosting the inaugural Teal Rising Week presented by Visit Missouri starting today, packed with elite matches, a skills challenge, a youth tournament, and more at CPKC Stadium and beyond.

  • Centered on Soccer: The centerpiece of the week is a four-team international club tournament at CPKC Stadium on April 9 and 12, featuring the KC Current alongside Club América, Corinthians SC, and SE Palmeiras. Both days are doubleheaders: buy one ticket and catch both matches. On April 11, the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team faces Brazil U-20 at CPKC Stadium at 6:30pm, with a second match at Riverside Stadium on April 15. Teal Rising Cup ticketholders can claim free tickets to both U-20 matches.

  • More Than Matches: The inaugural Teal Rising Skills Challenge on April 10 pairs professional and youth players for crossbar, first-touch, shooting, and Teqball competitions at Riverside Stadium. The free Teal Rising Futures Cup youth tournament runs April 10 to 12 at the KC Current Sports Complex, featuring 32 teams across four age groups from 10 regional clubs.

Kansas City is Offering Free Pre-Approved Home Plans to Residents

Kansas City, MO

The City of KCMO has made seven pre-approved home plans available for free to residents, removing a major barrier to new housing construction.

  • Choose Your Home: The free plans include a duplex, a two-story home, a two-story home with a garage, a bungalow, a courtyard cottage, an additional dwelling unit with a garage, and a tiny house. Residents simply choose a plan, select a plot, submit a site plan and survey, and apply for permits, no design/architect fees required.

  • Housing for All: The initiative aligns with Kansas City's Housing and Healthy Communities goals, focused on increasing housing supply and making safe, quality housing more accessible and affordable for all residents.
