A New Fusion Concept is Coming Soon to the River Market

MuNi
A recognized local chef is bringing a new āThai-Mexicanā restaurant concept to the River Market:
Familiar Faces: Owners Ted and Pam Liberda are opening MuNi in the River Market, which will offer a fusion of Thai and Mexican dishes. The Liberdaās are well-known names in the Kansas City food scene, with Pam being the executive chef at both Waldo Thai and Buck Tui BBQ.
Non-traditional Fusion: The name MuNi pays tribute to the Liberdaās daughters Moonoi and Minni, and will offer dishes such as Thai tacos, Zaap-Zaap Shrimp, a āSmash Dat MuNiā smash burger, and more. These non-traditional flavor fusions are nothing new to Liberda, who was named a James Beard Semifinalist for Best Chef: Midwest in 2023.
Stay up to date on menu releases and official opening dates on MuNiās website.
