  • Festive Festivities: The annual tradition kicks off at 6:30pm on Thanksgiving night (Friday, Nov. 27) on the Country Club Plaza. The main stage will be located at the intersection of Nichols Road and Pennsylvania Avenue, and feature live music, performances, and a special preview of “A Christmas Carol” from the KC Repertory Theatre.

  • Flip That Switch: Kansas City Current team members Kayla Sharples and Laurel Ivory will flip the switch to illuminate the Plaza at approximately 7:55pm. The flipping will be followed by a fireworks display and a post-ceremony show by DJ Kirby.

The Plaza Lighting Ceremony is free to attend, and the lights will shine daily from 5pm-3am until mid-January.
