A New Craft Cocktail Bar to Open in Lenexa City Center This December

A new craft cocktail bar called Neat will open this December in Lenexa City Center.

  • That’s Pretty Neat: Neat will open at 16953 City Center Dr., replacing the former Savoy Tea Co., which closed in May. Neat is the product of Benjamin A. Davalos and Sam Johnston who will build the cocktail program with “depth through simplicity”.

  • Creative Cocktails: The menu will be cocktail-forward, and offered in four categories: Inspired, Neo-Classical, Clarified Collection, and Low ABV/Zero Proof. It will also offer beer, wine, and snacks. After investigation, our first visit will definitely include a Gun For Hire, Let Them Eat Cake, and an Afterglow.

Excelsior Springs to Host 2nd Annual Irish Festival October 4-5

Slàinte! The Excelsior Springs Irish Festival returns to Shamrock Hills Vineyard and Winery on October 4-5.

  • Shamrock Springs: The 2nd annual event is hosted in partnership by the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and Shamrock Hills Vineyard and Winery. The two-day celebration features Irish culture, music, and community in a unique countryside setting just minutes from downtown Excelsior Springs.

  • Wear Your Green: Irish Festival features live music and dance all weekend from eight regional performers. Guests can also expect culinary offerings beer tents with local and Irish-style brews, wines from Shamrock Hills' Vineyard, Irish hospitality, and kids’ games and activities.

Tickets are just $20 (or $30 for two-day passes) and kids 12 and under are free!

T-Shotz Golf & Entertainment Center has officially opened Kansas City’s first Duckpin bowling system.

  • Duck Strikes: T-Shotz unveiled the Duckpin bowling system by Funk Bowling Group, which offers a state-of-the-art scoring platform and social play experiences. Duckpin bowling is a variation of traditional bowling, with smaller pins and balls, and shorter lanes.

  • Game On: Duckpin bowling was introduced as a part of the brand new Level Up Arcade at T-Shotz, which features over 30 classic and modern arcade games. The arcade adds to a lineup of fun experiences at T-Shotz, joining climate-controlled golf bays, pickleball, and food & drink offerings.
