KC Meets The Bar

Cheval On Main

Happy Monday, Kansas City! The holidays are here and the weather is cold, which means it’s time to cozy up and grab a drink with friends and family. Want to impress? We put together our list of Best Bars in Kansas City.

  • Cocktails 4 Days: Any bar can serve you an ice-cold beer or glass of wine, but we highlighted places that offer an impressive cocktail list in addition to the classics

  • All Over The Metro: We tried to be equitable to all bars across the metro. As you may be aware, some of the best bars in the area call the suburbs home.

  • All The Vibes: Ambience is key, and there are so many different types of settings to grab a drink. Whether it’s sipping martinis like James Bond, or taking in some jazz over candlelight, there is something for everyone type of drinker on the list.

New Sandwich Reaches New Heights

Grill 32

Grill 32, a local restaurant in Edwardsville, created a new sandwich recently which is getting a lot of hype in the podcasting community.

  • 92-Percenters: Grill 32 received a shoutout on a recent episode of the New Heights Podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, after they released their New Heights Club.

  • The Cities Of Brotherly Rivalry: The New Heights Club was crafted to pay homage to Kansas City and Philadelphia, the two cities in which the brothers play. The New Heights Club is a colossal mix between a BLT sandwich with BBQ sauce and a Philly Cheesesteak.

  • Something’s Different: After the brothers mentioned the sandwich on their #1 podcast, demand for the club went through the roof. The day after the podcast aired, orders for the club went up by 3000%.

You can try Grill 32’s New Heights Club with fries for $17.99 at 104 S 4th in Edwardsville 7 days a week.

Honey, We’re Moving

HOK

Blue KC, Missouri’s largest provider of health insurance, is moving its headquarters downtown.

  • Prime Real Estate: Blue KC, the provider of Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance coverage, is relocating its headquarters to the 1400KC Building from its former headquarters at 2301 Main Street.

  • Moving In: The 1400KC Building at 1400 Baltimore is a state-of-the-art office building that was completed in 2022. However, it has remained empty since former potential tenants, Waddell & Reed Financial Inc. pulled out after an acquisition.

  • Blue Skies: Blue KC’s office space will begin with an 11th-floor lobby above 10 floors of the parking garage. The company will also make use of the 8 floors above the lobby. The new office will feature covered parking, an onsite gym, and new conference centers.

No timeline has been set, but Blue KC says it plans to move all employees to the new headquarters.
