Food & Drink

Alma Mader is Expanding With Korean Fried Chicken and Czech Tank Beer

Alma Mader Brewing

Alma Mader Brewing is opening an expanded taproom this fall at 2617 Southwest Blvd., just a few doors down from its current location.

  • Beer + Chicken: The expanded space will feature hyper-fresh Czech-style tank beer service, a greenhouse-style interior with natural light and plants, covered and uncovered outdoor patios, and additional private event capacity. The food concept — independently operated by Chef Keeyoung Kim (Sura Eats, Chingu) and partners Jesus and Gil Zavala — centers on Korean fried chicken, grilled chicken, rice bowls, and shareable bar bites designed to pair with beer.

  • Local Design: Alma Mader’s current space will become a production space, with the new taproom being designed and constructed by Wolf21, the firm behind other local spots like Varsity Club, Jim’s Alley Bar, Hank’s Garage & Grill, and more.

A fall opening is expected. Follow along for updates!
