Amazon Revealed as the Company Behind “Project Falcon”

One of the world’s largest companies is the driving force behind a project in the Northland code-named “Project Falcon.”

  • The Falcon Has Landed: Amazon will occupy 630,000 square feet of warehouse space within the KCI 29 Logistics Park near the Kansas City International Airport. The plans were confirmed earlier this week, although rumors of Amazon being behind the code-named project for months.

  • Room to Grow: According to Port KC, the project will represent a $160 million real estate property investment and could create up to 1,500 jobs when at full capacity. It will serve as Amazon’s 13th facility in the metro and second in KCMO city limits.

Author of The Adventures of Captain Underpants to Visit The Rabbit hOle

Dav Pilkey, the author best known for The Adventures of Captain Underpants, will visit The Rabbit hOle on Saturday, February 15th.

  • Captain in KC: Pilkey is visiting as part of his “Hero Party” tour, celebrating the launch of his newest book, Dog Man: Big Jim Begins. Although best known for his 1997 best-seller, The Adventures of Captain Underpants, Pilkey has authored over 60 pieces of children’s literature.

  • Meet the Author: Pilkey will make two presentations, one at 10 am and another at 2 pm.. Each will last 30 minutes, followed by a meet-and-greet. Each ticket ($15) includes a pre-signed copy of Dog Man: Big Jim Begins.

Tickets went for sale to the public yesterday but are already sold out. 🙁
