The Fastest Growth In The West
Happy Monday, Kansas City! The Kansas City Business Journal released its “Fast 50” list of the 50 fastest-growing companies in Kansas City.
Fast, Faster, Fastest: The list uses the compound annual growth rate(CAGR) from 2020 to 2022 to determine which companies had grown fastest. The list also breaks down the top 10 in revenue and revenue growth.
Catch Your Breath: The fastest-growing company in KC according to its CAGR was Advanced Medical Resources the producer of healthcare suppliers, particularly in the respiratory field which has grown just over 200% since 2020.
Meme Stock No More: Perhaps thanks to the resurgence of blockbuster films, AMC found itself atop the list of companies for revenue, posting nearly $4 billion in revenue.

Chronicling History
Co-authors Mark Dent and Rustin Dodd are going on tour after the release of their book, '“Kingdom Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs, and How a Once Swingin' Cow Town Chased the Ultimate Comeback”.
Putting KC on the Map: The book takes a look at how drafting Patrick Mahomes not only brought life to the Chiefs organization but also to Kansas City as a whole.
Past and Future: Part of the book’s focus is the complicated history of Kansas City and one of its major developers, JC Nichols. The book dives into the past where JC thrived and the future that Mahomes now paves.
Meet the Authors: The authors will be discussing the book at a Rainy Day Books Event at Unity Temple on The Plaza where they will field questions from the audience and do a book signing.
The book is now available for purchase online or (preferably) at your local bookstore. You can purchase tickets for the book signing and discussion here.

Making Plans Doesn’t Have To Be Scary
It’s officially Spooky Season which means it is also officially haunted house and ghost tour season in Kansas City again.
West Bottoms Best: If you’re looking for a scare in the West Bottoms’ terrifying old warehouses, might we suggest Edge of Hell or The Beast? According to American Haunts, The Beast is the #2 haunted house in America.
Casper’s Tour: If ghost tours are more your thing, you may want to check out The Elms Hotel or the Sailee House. The Sailee House has several times been the location for ghost-hunting TV shows.
Make It A Night: Packages for all of the West Bottoms haunted houses can be purchased here. Be warned, you may want to show up with plenty of time for a good spot in line.
If choosing the right haunted house or ghost tour is still scaring you, check out this list of Fox4’s best of the season.
