Fly Like a Flamingo at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium

Get ready to soar! The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium is debuting a thrilling new attraction, the Flying Flamingo zipline.

• Fly Like a Flamingo: This high-flying ride whisks guests 100 feet into the air at speeds up to 30 mph, offering breathtaking views of the Zoo and Swope Park. Riders launch from the area between the Sobela Ocean Aquarium and the Elephant Expedition, with seating for up to four per flight.

• Get in Line: Timed reservations are required and can be made onsite. Premier Friends of the Zoo members ride free; general admission is $8 for one flight or $15 for two. Safety restrictions apply, including height and weight limits.

The Flying Flamingo opens to riders this Friday, April 25th.

Support the Veterans Community Project at Battle Buddies: Yappy Hour on May 8th

Grab your furry friends and head to Bar K on Thursday, May 8th from 5-8pm for Battle Buddies: Yappy Hour!

• Four Legged Friends: The Battle Buddies: Yappy Hour is benefitting the Veterans Community Project and the pets of VCP Village. The pet-friendly village at 1209 E. 89th St. in KCMO is a community of 49 tiny houses for Veterans experiencing homelessness.

• Furry Fun: Your ticket to the event includes complimentary access for you and your dog into Bar K, two drink tickets, one raffle ticket, a pet fashion show, pet portraits and caricature, puppy massages, and live music.

All proceeds help ensure that Veterans never have to choose between housing and their beloved pets. Get your tickets HERE!

Upcoming Women’s Rugby Match at CPKC Stadium Expected to Set Attendance Record

An upcoming women’s rugby match on Friday, May 2nd at CPKC Stadium is expected to set a new attendance record for a stand-alone rugby game.

• Record-Setting Rugby: The match will feature the U.S Women’s Eagles facing off against Canada in the Pacific Four Series. There have already been over 7,500 tickets sold, which would double the previous U.S. women’s rugby attendance record.

• Stars on Pitch: The match will also be the first non-soccer event to be held in CPKC Stadium. Taking the pitch for the Eagles is Ilona Maher, who has built a following of nearly five million on Instagram and has appeared on TV series “Dancing with the Stars”.
