Burek & Cake Offers an Authentic Taste of European Sweets

Burek & Cake/Yelp

For an authentic taste of European-inspired sweets in Kansas City, look no further than Burek & Cake.

  • Welcome to the Club: Burek & Cake has operated out of a small space in Avondale (3605 NE Antioch Road) since November 2022. Owner Fatima Hodzic worked to bring authentic European (specifically, Bosnian) sweets to the Kansas City metro.

  • Long Drive & Long History: Hodzic serves common sweet creations such as birthday cakes, tiramisu, and cream puffs. But where Burek & Cake really shines is the global selection of sweets that aren’t often found in KC: Tulumba, Pavlova, and its namesake Burek (sweet or savory stuffed pastries).

Burek & Cake is open Thursday through Sunday from 11-3 (open until 5 pm on Friday + Saturday).
