Westport is Getting a Free Pool Hall This Summer
Rack ‘em up! Uncle Jim’s Pool Hall is opening on July 10th in Westport.
Ozark Shark: Named after an Ozark legend, Uncle Jim's is an upscale pool hall and lounge with 8 pool tables, 8 dart boards, a cocktail menu, and space for 573 guests. Both the pool and darts will be free and first-come, first-served when they open, but a reservation system may be introduced in the future.
Seven-For-One: Uncle Jim’s joins seven connected concepts in the Westport district, where guests can show their ID once and then freely roam between all concepts. The growing district includes Bar & Rec, Westport Landing, Jungalow, The Patio, The Horseshoe, Food Truck, and Uncle Jim’s.
Uncle Jim’s Pool Hall will be located at 4127 Mill Street.

Power & Light District Launches Soccer in the City Lineup All Summer Long
The Kansas City Power & Light District has unveiled its Soccer in the City schedule, turning KC Live! and the surrounding 12-block district into an ultimate watch party destination.
Soccer Snapshot: KC Live!'s massive covered outdoor screen anchors match-day viewing, national broadcasts, and live recordings of the Heart & Goal podcast. Highlights include an exclusive screening of the Summer of '94 documentary on June 10, Bresh on June 15, the Netherlands Oranje Matchday Experience on June 25, and world-renowned producer BUNT. on June 26. During Mexico match days, Telemundo Kansas City co-hosts with Spanish-language programming at the center of the experience.
Better Together: The district will host watch parties throughout the summer, including all Team USA games on June 6th (international friendly), June 12th, June 19th, and June 25th. A full lineup of events can be found HERE.
Watch Party admission is free, but all guests must reserve a complimentary ticket in advance.
