A Rising Price Lifts All Homes

KC Daily
It’s no secret that home prices have gone up across the metro in the past 3 years, but now that prices are starting to stabilize, the neighborhoods with the steepest climb in percent change may surprise you.
Leveling Out: The Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors (KCRAR) recently found that the median home price in the metro is finally stabilizing after only growing 1.9% last year versus near double-digit percentages the two years prior.
Triple(d) Threat: What may surprise most KC residents is that the zip codes with the steepest jump in home prices over the past 5 years are generally in East Kansas City with some zip codes nearly tripling in value(191%) over that time.
OP Does It Again: What probably doesn’t come as a surprise is that 66221 in Overland Park led the charge in median home values, rising over $200,000 per home on average.
