Single KC Company Lands in The Fortune 500

KC Business Journal

Seaboard becomes the latest Kansas City-based company to crack for the Fortune 500 with revenue of $11.24B.

  • All Aboard: Seaboard, the KC-based business specializing in agriculture, food production, energy, and transportation was the only local company to crack the Fortune 500, an annual ranking of U.S. companies’ revenues that file with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

  • Revenue Going ↗️: Seaboard made the top 500 at number 384 jumping several spots after seeing their revenue grow by 21% in 2022. Most of those gains were helped by the uptick in international shipping costs last year.

  • The Other Guys: Despite not making the list of 500, KC had several companies make the Fortune 1000 like Evergy(584), AMC(762), H&R Block(828), and Euronet(839).

While the KC economy continues to grow, housing large companies like these will continue to add millions in tax revenue and go towards making our city more desirable towards outside investment.
