It’s almost turkey time! We will be taking a short break from sending KC Daily over the next few days so we can all enjoy time with friends and family, and take the best nap of the year on Thursday afternoon.

  • 🎄 Thankful for Christmas: The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting returns to Crown Center Square this Friday, November 29th at 6:30 PM! This event is FREE and features an all-new lighting event for one of the largest Christmas trees in the nation.*

  • 💡 All of the Lights: One of Kansas City’s best traditions returns with the 2024 Plaza Lighting Ceremony on Thanksgiving night (11/28) from 5-8 pm. The lights will be flipped on around 7 pm by Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt with his wife, Tavia Hunt.

  • 🎅 Jingle All the Way!: Jingle! returns to Kansas City beginning Friday, November 29th. The holiday spectacle takes over Legends Field with a Winter Wonderland Light Maze, ice skating, snow tubing, festive food and drink, and much more!

  • 🎠 Christmas Cirque: Music Hall Kansas City hosts multiple shows of ‘Twas the Night Before by Cirque Du Soleil starting tonight! This family-friendly, high-flying show reimagines that Christmas Classic.

  • 🏀 Turkey Ball: The T-Mobile Center hosts Thanksgiving day college basketball action, with Arkansas vs. Illinois at 3 pm. We’ll be calling the Hogs in honor of our friends at NWA Daily!

  • 😱 KEVIN!: The Kansas City Symphony performs Home Alone in Concert starting this Friday night, with live orchestra + film shows running throughout the weekend.

  • ❤️ Red on Black: Red Friday meets Black Friday at Zona Rosa for the Red Zona Rally! The event runs from 9 am - 1 pm, and offers free coffee, holiday shopping, special deals, visits from KC Wolf, and more!

  • 🏃 Turkey Trot: The Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Family Stroll presented by T-Mobile takes from on Thursday morning at 9 am at the Aspiria Campus in Overland Park.

  • 🍸 Sippin’ in Spirit: Grab your friends and family members that you only see once a year and start feeling festive at one of Kansas City’s best Holiday Pop-Up Bars!

Crown Center Square to Host Red Carpet Event for “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story”

Hallmark is hosting a red carpet event ahead of the VIP premiere of “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” this Saturday.

  • Red Carpet: The event starts at 4:30 pm on Saturday, when the film’s cast will walk down the red carpet before a VIP premiere of the movie at Crown Center Square. The stars will be joined by KC Wolf, Chiefs Cheerleaders, and a host of other Hallmark stars.

  • Red Kingdom: While you’re at Crown Center, don’t miss the Hallmark Christmas Experience which will be open before and after the event. The experience offers a Holiday Hallmarket, a Christmas Market featuring local vendors, light shows, a festive food hall, a light walk, and more family-friendly fun!
