A New Holiday Pop-Up Bar is Coming to the T-Mobile Center

T-Mobile Center

The T-Mobile Center is getting festive this year with The Gingerbread, an all-new holiday pop-up bar.

  • Deck the Halls: The T-Mobile Center has partnered with Levy Restaurants to host The Gingerbread inside the Konica Minolta Founders Club. The pop-up will transport guests into a winter wonderland filled with festive drinks, small bites, Christmas sweets, and even a whimsical gingerbread horse carousel.

  • Yule Love It: The Gingerbread runs November 29th through December 31st and is open Thursdays through Sundays from 5-11 p.m. Guests must be 21 or over, and tickets are $14 per person Thursdays and Sundays, and $18 per person on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Lyric Opera of Kansas City Nominated for a Grammy Award

The Lyric Opera of Kansas City was recently nominated for its first-ever Grammy Award.

  • Shining Moment: The Opera was nominated for a 2025 Grammy for Best Opera Recording for its 2023 adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Shining“. The production was directed by Eric Simonson, and Grammy and Emmy winner Gerard Schwarz led the Kansas City Symphony and Chorus.

  • Live on the Set Audiences of the 2023 performances were alerted beforehand that they were being recorded as the official worldwide cast recording. You can find digital recordings of the performances on a variety of music streaming services, and Grammy winners will be announced on February 2nd.

Lifelong Kansas Citian and stay-at-home mom Franki Ferguson recently launched her new online Women’s boutique Fonti Collections.

  • Fonti and Center: Ferguson launched her online boutique on September 18th with the intent to help women reconnect with loving themselves through fashion. As a wife and mother of three, Ferguson worked to build a brand that allowed her to focus on family and entrepreneurship.

  • Uplifting Apparel: Fonti’s apparel line features a variety of dresses, sweatshirts, bottoms, and one-pieces. In addition to offering high-quality women’s apparel Ferguson connects with her community via pop-up events throughout Kansas City.

Quixotic Presents Winterland: a Holiday Cirque Experience

Kansas City entertainment design group Quixotic presents Winterland: a Holiday Cirque Experience.

  • Cold, Cold Night: Winterland combines the majesty of the Northern Lights with the delicate beauty of snow and ice. The live show combines festive live music, vocal performances, dance, and cirque performances that have made Quixotic a global performance phenomenon.

  • Above the Stage: Winterland will be held at The Grand Theater at Crown Center from November 29th through December 22nd. The show is suitable for all ages and also offers photo opportunities and immersive pre/post-show gathering areas with festive treats and holiday installations.

  • 🏟️ Soccer on Screen: Although CPKC Stadium won’t be hosting a home game for the NWSL semifinals, it will be hosting a watch party for the Current’s semifinal match against the Orlando Pride on Sunday afternoon.

  • 🚧 Abandoned No More: Kansas City leaders are considering a “vacant land tax” which would allow the activation of blighted/vacant lots throughout the city and bring them new life.

  • ⚾️ Bobby Baseball: Royals Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. was named an AL MVP finalist for his incredible 2024 campaign. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, both New York Yankees, are the other two finalists for the AL MVP.

  • 🏦 Take It to the Bank: Wichita-based Emprise Bank is building a new local headquarters in the Crossroads Arts District. They will spend $7.3 million to remodel the former Anheuser-Busch distributorship building at 100 E. 20th St.
