Chiefs, Royals, & Sporting KC Become Official World Cup Host City Supporters

KC2026 announced that the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and Sporting Kansas City have joined as Official Kansas City World Cup 2026 Host City Supporters. The partnership unites the region’s most iconic franchises behind the biggest sporting event in the city’s history.
What does this mean, exactly? Here’s what each team is bringing to the partnership:
⚽️ Sporting KC - Sporting is hosting two Team Base Camp training sites: Argentina at the Compass Minerals National Performance Center and England at Swope Soccer Village. They will also host the free Soccer Capital Summer series, a lineup of special events, watch parties, and concerts at Sporting Park throughout the tournament.
⚾️ Royals - KC2026 will add a stop to the ConnectKC26 shuttle route that will drop fans off at Kauffman Stadium. This service will run from June 11 to July 13.
🏈 Chiefs - GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium will host six FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches. Founder Lamar Hunt also helped shape both the NFL and American soccer.
