We’re Talking About Practice

Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs' quarterbacks and rookies have reported to training camp at Missouri Western State University in St Joseph.
Spectators Welcome: Each year, Kansas Citians flock to St Joe to watch the Chiefs begin their season with summer camp. If you’re interested in seeing how the Chiefs’ new draft picks will perform, rookie camp started Tuesday.
The Champs Are Here: The arguably much larger spectacle will start Sunday when the whole team will be there running through drills in preparation for a season where they hope to repeat as champs.
Bring A Sharpie: If you have a favorite player not named Patrick Mahomes, check the schedule for the week to see when each position group will be signing autographs.
Admission is free to view training camp, but you will need to secure tickets to help MWSU safely manage crowds. There will be a max capacity, so get on it fast before your favorite player group is taken. Here’s to hoping Harrison Butker finally signs my face.
Opening
Liberty For Meshuggah

The Harbinger
Meshuggah Bagels, the KC resident’s favorite bagel stop in Midtown and Overland Park, is opening a new location in Liberty that expects to open in the coming months.
Kosher Heaven: Meshuggah Bagels are known for their Kosher bagels that are crazy delicious. Serving authentic East-coast style bagels is their passion as they strive to "Bring New York to Kansas City, One Bagel at a Time".
Liberty: The Liberty location will be in the new Valley View Shops off of 1-52, directly across from Quik Trip and next to Fairway Meat Market. The location will also include Meshuggah’s first drive-through.
Menu: Meshuggah offers bagels made fresh daily as well as homemade schmears ranging from savory rosemary garlic to sweet Oreo cheesecake. Of course, like any good NY-style bagel joint, they are famous for their bagel with salmon and lox.
The Liberty location is expecting to open its doors this fall. In the meantime, you can visit their 3 other locations Tuesday-Friday from 7 am to 2 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm.
Retail
Vintage Source Is So Posch

Vintage Source
Dan Posch, the Instagram vintage furniture curator, is opening his very own vintage furniture store in the West Bottoms, Vintage Source.
Blessing In Disguise: After being furloughed from his job during the pandemic, Dan Posch started making money by flipping and refurbishing vintage furniture.
Vintage Source: Several years later, Dan is opening his own vintage furniture store in the West Bottoms, Vintage Source, that specializes in quality pieces with a story.
What You’ll Find: Posch’s favorite pieces to restore may be solid walnut pieces, he says he’s also a sucker for textiles and patterns that have been well preserved.
Vintage Source opened this month at 1101 Mulberry Street. Unlike other West Bottom stores open only on Friday, Vintage Source is open 5 days a week.
