πͺ© Disco Nights: The Ship in the West Bottoms is hosting Studio 54: A New Yearβs Disco Inferno tonight from 9 pm to 1 am. The 21+ event features live music from Jamogi & The Jammers, Malek Azrael & The Vibes, and Kadesh Flow.
π‘ Last Lights: Itβs the final weekend of the Evergy Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens. Donβt wait until next year to experience the dazzling display!

ππΎββοΈ Run Through Time: The Time Travel Half Marathon is taking place at English Landing Park in downtown Parkville this Saturday morning.
πͺ΅ Did You Say Free?: This Saturday from 1-4, take in some FREE weekend fun at The Nelson-Atkins Museum with Whimsical Woodcuts. The experience will allow guests to create their own designs using natural elements.

Wichita-Based Fried Chicken Restaurant Expanding to Kansas City
Wichita-based Chick N Max is planning to open multiple locations across the Kansas City metro.
Chicken Chain: The chain currently operates in Kansas, South Dakota, and Texas but plans to open 50 more restaurants over the next two years across seven states. Locations are being planned on both sides of the State Line in Kansas City.
Max Flavor: Chick N Max is known for its legendary sandwiches, which include Sriracha Hot Honey, Sweet & Spicy Crunch, BBQ Onion Ring, and more. The menu also features dry-rubbed legs and quarters, smoked wings, popcorn chicken, and crispy tenders.
Although no timeline was announced, the expansion is expected within the next two years.

A New Coffeeshop is Opening in Grandview
ASE Coffee is celebrating its grand opening tomorrow (1/4) in Grandview.
Grand in Grandview: For the past two weekends, ASE Coffee has had soft openings in preparation for the grand opening this weekend. And if you canβt wait until tomorrow to visit, the shop is having the final day of the soft opening today from 7-3 pm.
Craft Coffee: ASE offers a full drink menu with coffees roasted by Peregrine Coffee Roasters, pastries baked by Fox & Bull Baking Co., and craft cocktails (coming soon). It will also offer a seasonal menu of coffee and non-coffee drinks.
ASE Coffee can be found at 1800 Highgrove Road in Grandview.
