Fairway Creamery Opens in the Westside Neighborhood
Kansas City, do we have a scoop for you! Fairway Creamery has officially opened a new location in the Westside Neighborhood.
Westside Scoops: Fairway Creamery officially opened its doors yesterday at 809 W. 17th St. in the heart of the Westside neighborhood. This is just the second metro location, joining the original Fairway Creamery at 5938 Mission Road in Fairway.
Sweet Relief: Fairway Creamery has built a cult-like following for its wide variety of unique ice cream flavors (looking at you, Guinness Stout flavor). They also serve breakfast food, coffee, donuts, chocolates, and more sweet treats.
All pints are 20% all weekend at the new location, so hurry in!

Proceeds go right back to the mission of empowering the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Flowers for a Cause: The annual Flower Sale will have beautiful hanging baskets, geranium tubs, annuals, perennials, and much more. On Saturday, they'll be serving up their famous hot apple fritters and more delicious food from their Farm to Fork Kitchen.

The American Royal ProRodeo Returns May 1-3
The American Royal ProRodeo returns to American Royal (1701 American Royal Court) on May 1-3.
Not Our First Rodeo: The ProRodeo will feature bull riding, barrell racing, roping, mutton bustin’, and more. Competitors include cowboys and cowgirls from across the country, with general admission tickets starting at $32 and VIP experiences available.
More Than Riding: There will also be a Tailgate Beer Garden that is free and open to the public each day, live music each night starting at 9pm, a vendor marketplace, a Kentucky Derby watch party on Saturday at 4pm, and plenty more fun for the whole family!

Guadalupe Centers to Host Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
The Guadalupe Centers are set to host a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on May 2-3.
Family Fiesta: The two-day celebration hosted by Guadalupe Centers will take place at the Guadalupe Center Admin Building in the Westside Neighborhood (1015 Avenida Cesar Chavez). The event is family-friendly, and admission is free for all.
Celebrate Culture: The Fiesta will feature live music from DJ Ashton Martin, Lost Wax, and WAR, local vendors, artists, and authentic food. There will also be bounce houses for children, a petting zoo, and more fun supporting local culture and community.
The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta happens from 5pm - 10pm on Friday, and 12pm - 10pm on Saturday.
