Opening

A New Wine Bar is Now Open in Westwood

Vintner, a new wine bar and tasting room, is now open in Westwood.

• Neighborhood Sippin’: Vintner is located at 47th & Rainbow in the Woodside Village building neighboring local favorites Unforked, The Roasterie, ULAH, & Blue Sushi Sake Grill. The space is elegant, yet relaxed and offers “easy drinking wines & good times.”

• Wine Makes Me Happy: The menu offers wines from around the globe by the glass, bottles, or flights (x3 pours for $12). Vintner also offers Happy Hours: $25 Tuesdays ($25 bottles), $5 beers Tuesday-Friday from 4-6pm, and $2 off wine pours Tuesday-Friday from 4-6pm.

Vintner is open 12-10pm Tuesday-Saturday, and 10am-6pm on Sunday.

Meet Your Newest Chiefs After the 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft wrapped up over the weekend in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and seven new players were welcomed into Chiefs Kingdom:

• Round 1, Pick 31: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State​

• Round 2, Pick 63: Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Arizona State​

• Round 3, Pick 66: Ashton Gillotte, DE, Louisville

• Round 3, Pick 95: Nohl Williams, CB, California

• Round 4, Pick 133: Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State​

• Round 7, Pick 226: Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Oregon

• Round 7, Pick 251: Brashard Smith, RB, SMU

After the seven round of the draft were complete, the Chiefs made a flurry of moves to sign undrafted free agents and send minicamp invites.

• 😂 This is No Joke: James Murray, known as Murr from hit TV show Impractical Jokers, will perform two standup comedy shows at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Kansas City on May 9-10. Fun fact: he’s a fan of KC Daily!

• ⛳️ Par-3 for Me: Oakwood Country Club debuted an all-new par-3 course last year, one of the few in the Midwest. Each hole emulates a hole from famous courses around the globe, and the KCBJ is giving a hole-by-hole tour of the course in South Kansas City.
