Do you love where you live in Kansas City? Online publication Niche has released its Best Places to Live in America for 2025 and several KC area cities received high marks.

  • Numbers Don’t Lie: To compile the list, Niche used methodology based on a variety of factors including crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and more. The list can be filtered by states, school rankings, politics, walkability, and importance of amenities.

  • Loving Where You Live: The top spot on the Kansas side of the metro went to Leawood, which ranked as the best suburb in the state of Kansas and No. 180 best place to live in America. Parkville was the top spot on the Missouri side, as the 20th best suburb in Missouri and No. 831 best place to live in America.
