What Does Google Search For?

Happy Thursday, Kansas City! Google has purchased a second location North Kansas City for a data storage center.
That’s 1: For several years, Google has been holding land in NKC’s Rocky Branch Creek for a separate 497-acre site for a data center that was approved by the Port Authority last year.
Here’s 2: Recently, a subsidiary of Google purchased 500 more acres of land northeast of Interstate 435 and U.S. Highway 169. A Google spokesperson confirmed it was purchased with the hope of placing a data center on the new site.
3rd Time’s a Charm: This new location would be the third data center that Google has planned for the KC metro. In 2019, the company acquired 315 acres in Hunt Midwest Business Center which won conditional approval to build in December.
While all projects seem to be quite far from even breaking ground, the writing is on the wall that Google considers KC worth investment for housing data.
