Get to Know First Friday in Kansas City

KC Daily

This Friday kicks off the first weekend of November, which means two Kansas City neighborhoods will celebrate First Friday. One question: what is First Friday?

  • Crossroads Arts District: First Friday in the Crossroads is a monthly event where thousands gather to explore galleries, artist studios, local restaurants, breweries, and street art. From April to October, the event features Art Alleys and a food truck plaza. Pro tip: ride in on the KC Streetcar to avoid parking.

  • West Bottoms: First Friday Weekends in the West Bottoms run from Friday through Sunday, featuring vintage and antique shops in its historic industrial buildings. The district offers a variety of food trucks, breweries, wineries, and special events that celebrate the area's rich heritage. Pro tip: visit Bella Patina.

And if you need more incentive to check out First Friday this weekend, this Friday’s forecast shows 68° and sunny! ☀️

Royals Seek Fan Feedback on Potential New Stadiums

BNIM Architects

The Royals announced that they will be sending out a survey asking for fan feedback on gameday experiences, TV broadcasts, and a potential new stadium.

  • Select Few: The survey will be sent via email to a select group of fans. Royals CEO John Sherman said in a release, “We are constantly engaging with and listening to our fans,” and the team will use fan feedback to determine the future of the franchise in Kansas City.

  • Three’s Company: The largest ongoing conversation around the Royals is a potential new stadium and its location. According to the survey, it seeks fan feedback on three locations: downtown/near downtown, Clay County/North Kansas City, and Johnson County/Overland Park.

If you were one of the lucky Royals’ fans who received the survey, tell us about it! If you weren’t, we’re gathering our own feedback. 👇
