Happy Tuesday, Kansas City! FIFA announced on Sunday evening that Kansas City will host 6 games in the FIFA 2026 World Cup.
Grab Your Calendars: Kansas City will officially host 4 group play matches on June 16, 20, and 27. We will also host 2 knockout round matches including a round of 32 game and a quarterfinal on July 3rd and 11th respectively.
Quite The Quartet: KC joins Los Angeles, Boston, and Miami as the only hosts of the quarterfinal round. Games will take place at a renovated Arrowhead Stadium.
Beginnings And Ends: The tournament will kick off with the first of the World Cup’s 104 matches in Mexico City at Estadio Azteca and conclude in New Jersey at Metlife Stadium where the NY Jets and Giants play.

LUNA and ULAH, the sister brands offering carefully curated men’s and women’s clothing, are combining spaces on February 26.
Moving In Together: LUNA, the women’s clothing offshoot of ULAH, is moving into the ULAH space at 4707 Rainbow, creating what the owners hope will be a one-stop shopping experience.
Family Of 3: ULAH was founded in 2016 as a carefully curated men’s clothing store featuring some of the top brands in the industry such as Vuori and Scotch & Soda. The brand expanded to ULAH Interiors in 2020 and LUNA high-quality assortments for women in 2021.
Making Room For Your Furniture: The space launch will officially happen later this month, as LUNA and ULAH have been working hard to make sure there is space to accommodate both clientele and not disrupt shopping experiences.
LUNA will host its first event in the space on March 2nd, a New Moon launch party with live music, drinks, bites, and prizes.

Last week, Kansas City approved a $17.5M contract to demolish the old terminals at Kansas City International Airport.
Talk About Baggage: After a contract fell through last year to destroy the former terminals, it appears that Kansas City is finally ready to say tearful goodbye at the airport to terminals B and C.
What Budget?: The destruction of the terminals was not originally included in the $1.5B bid to build Kansas City’s new terminal, leaving the city on the hook for approving a new deal to demolish what remained.
Mr Lucas, Tear Down This Wall: St. Louis-based Spirtas Wrecking Company won the $17.5M bid with a maximum of $19.2M budgeted. Spirtas plans to demolish the area but leave the hangers being used by the airlines.
With the plans approved last Thursday, Spirtas will get to work as soon as possible, converting the area into apron space and deicing pads.
