Happy Friday! Here are a few fun things going on around Kansas City this weekend:
🎻 Symphonic Phil Collins: The Kansas City Symphony presents a symphonic rendition of the music of Phil Collins and Genesis.
❤️ KC Love: Come to Union Station this weekend for a shopping experience with over 100 local vendors who all love Kansas City.
👢 Boots And Pearls: Looking for a good time for a good cause? Boots and Pearls is a fun fundraising event for Alphapointe, a non-profit benefitting kids with vision loss.
🎭 Four Women: The KC Repertory Theater presents Nina Simone: Four Women, a story of African American women gaining their voice.
🎶 Winterlude: Johnson County Community College presents a Jazz Festival headlined by Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra.
👕 River Market Flea: Instead of the traditional farmer’s market, imagine rows and rows of vintage clothing up for grabs.
🐻❄️ Polar Bear Weekend: Join the KC Zoo in celebration of International Polar Bear as it hosts special events starring our resident polar bear, Nuniq!

Where’s Waldo Week?

The 9th annual Waldo Week, a celebration of all the businesses that call Waldo home, begins next week.
Waldo’s Very Own Week: Waldo Week is a week to showcase Waldo retailers and restaurants filled with dining, discovering, and donations benefiting The Children's Place.
Where Is It?: Waldo Week will kick off with a bang at 75th Street Events next Thursday from 5-8. Enjoy live music, a bar sponsored by Mike's Wine & Spirits, and a tenant crawl afterward.
Pass On The Love: Special offers will run all week long from participating vendors from February 29 to March 7 with a portion of proceeds going to The Children’s Place, a non-profit serving kids who have experienced trauma.
Waldo Week will begin next Thursday, the 29th, and continue until March 7th. Specials only apply to participating retailers and restaurants.

Ça Va
Ça Va in Westport will be celebrating its 10th anniversary and then temporarily closing its doors.
Champagne Poppin’: The weekend of March 1-3, Ça Va will be celebrating its 10th anniversary as a special goodbye for now celebration before it closes for renovation.
New Look, Same Vibe: Since Covid, the restaurant has struggled, needing a wider menu offering to meet changing demand. While it will continue to serve high-quality Champagne, Ça Va will reopen with a larger menu and renovated space.
You’re Gonna Go Far: Ça Va has seen plenty of changes already in its first 10 years. Founded by Howard Hanna, Justin Norcross, and Jim Coley in 2014, Hanna now remains the sole owner after what was described as an amicable parting. Norcross has since opened Lucky Boys and Fortunati Pizza.
Ça Va’s last day of service will be March 9th. Ça Va is open Wednesday-Sunday and promises that the renovations will be very brief.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf
For two performances only on March 2, Starlight presents The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Liars Never Win: The Boy Who Cried Wolf is a family-friendly play built around Aesop’s fable of the boy who learns the value of telling the truth the hard way.
It’s A Musical: This performance for young audiences features an ensemble of actor-musicians who play instruments and sing live as they embody all the delightful characters.
He Can Only Cry So Much: The Boy Who Cried Wolf will only be here for 2 performances on March 2nd, with one at 11 am and the other at 2 pm.
Tickets for The Boy Who Cried Wolf can be purchased here. The performance is recommended for families with children ages 4-8.
