Where The Current Leads 🌊

CPKC Stadium
Happy Tuesday, Kansas City! The Kansas City Current are ready to kick off the season on March 16th with the team releasing transportation options this week.
7th Heaven: The Current announced this week that fans can choose from any of 7 different options - parking onsite, streetcar, off-site parking, walking, bicycle, bus, or ride share.
Shuttle Drill: As onsite parking will only be made available to season ticket holders, the team has encouraged fans to make their way to the River Market where a last-mile shuttle service will be provided.
Start Your Apple Watch: Details around the shuttle service such as when and where pick up and drop off will occur have yet to be released. For those planning to walk or bike, the River Market lies roughly 1.2 miles from CPKC Stadium.
Regardless of how fans get there, CPKC is going to be packed. The Current will face off against the Portland Thorns on ABC in the first match in a stadium built exclusively for women’s sports.

Drake, arguably one of the most influential rappers of the past decade, is coming to Kansas City for 2 shows this weekend.
6 God In KC: Drake, performing with rapper J. Cole, will be performing this Saturday and Sunday at the T-Mobile Center as part of their Big As The What? tour.
Break The Piggy Bank: If you waited until the last second to purchase tickets, you may be sorry. Upper-level tickets start at $210 before fees.
Road Dogs: Drake and J. Cole have been on tour since early February and will finish in State College, PA. The tour will feature some of Drake’s hits alongside music from his new album For All The Dogs.
Both shows will begin at 8 pm with doors opening at 6:30.
Development
Growing Galleria

Klover Architects
Block Real Estate is adding to its 37-acre Galleria Development, and it’s asking Overland Park to help.
Galleries and Galleries: Block Real Estate has been responsible for the $440M Galleria project off Nall Avenue and 115th.
Handout?: Recently, the developer asked for $800,000 in private activity revenue bonds to offset some of the cost of a new 2,100-square-foot building in the same area as Chick-fil-A and Whataburger.
Coffee or Cafe: While no tenant has been named for the spot, plans seem to hint at the new location being home to a coffee shop or breakfast spot.
City Council will consider the proposal for the latest addition to the live-work-play development on March 4.
