FINALLY, we have a warm(ish) weekend! Here are 13 things around Kansas City:

• 🌸 Spring Has Sprung: Orchid Delirium returns to Powell Gardens this weekend! The color-filled event kicks off the Garden’s spring season and lasts through April 13th.

• 🪶 Native Culture: The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art will host the Native American Cultural Festival from 10-4 on Sunday (3/2). The event is free with museum admission.

• 🍗 Kickin’ Chicken: Sporting KC has partnered with The Victory Project to host a Meet & Greet with mascot Blue at Slim Chicken’s Lenexa this Saturday from 11:30-1:30. Meet Blue and enter for a chance to win prizes like tickets or a team-signed jersey!

• 🎸 Country Rock: Country singer/songwriter Vincent Neil Emerson will perform at Knuckleheads Saloon on Saturday night at 8 pm. (show is 21+)

• 🎭 Broke on Stage: It’s the final weekend of Broke-ology at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Get your tickets to the final few shows of the heartwarming play that is set in working-class Kansas City.

• ⚽️ Kick Off!: Sporting Kansas City is hosting its annual Block Party at KC Live! on Sunday from 3-5 to celebrate the start of the 2025 season. There will be a DJ, games, giveaways, and a chance to meet the players!

WICKED Returns to Kansas City to Cap Off 25/26 Broadway in Kansas City Season

WICKED will return to Kansas City to cap off the 2025/26 Broadway in Kansas City season from August 12-30, 2026.

• WiKCed: The three-week show will take place at the Music Hall in downtown Kansas City, making its first return since June of 2023. WICKED caps off an impressive season of shows, which also includes The Book of Mormon, The Great Gatsby, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hamilton, and more.

• Stage to Screen: For those unfamiliar with the story of WICKED, the Broadway sensation “looks at what happened in the Land of Oz...but from a different angle long before Dorothy arrives.” The play was adapted into a 2024 movie starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Big Slick 2025 Tickets On Sale TODAY!

Tickets for the 2025 Big Slick Celebrity Weekend are on sale TODAY!

• Big Party: Tickets to Kansas City’s biggest annual party go on sale to the public today. The weekend-long event features a VIP event on Thursday, a celebrity softball game at Kauffman Stadium on Friday, and the Big Slick Show on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Center.

• Hometown Heroes: The Big Slick benefits Children’s Mercy and is hosted by a slew of Kansas City celebrities: Heidi Gardner, David Koechner, Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet, and Jason Sudeikis. Every year, the show brings a variety of other celebrity guests who present a roaring good time at the variety show on Saturday evening.
