What Does the Future Hold for Former Cerner World HQ?

Cerner/Oracle Health

According to the Kansas City Business Journal, Northland business groups are pushing for new life at the former Cerner World Headquarters.

  • HQ Re-Do?: The 100+ acre campus is located at 2800 Rock Creek Parkway, just minutes north of downtown KCMO. At one point, the campus housed 5,000+ employees across 1.5 million square feet of space, but it has sat vacant since Oracle acquired Cerner for approximately $28.3 billion in 2022.

  • Call It a Comeback: The former bustling HQ has been described as “the ghost town on the hill”, and many local business leaders are petitioning for new life at the site. But the groups say Oracle, which now owns this campus along with all other former Cerner sites, hasn’t been responsive.
