Marigold’s to Open Soon Near KU Med on 39th St.
Marigold’s, a new sandwich shop just steps from KU Med, is opening soon on W. 39th St.
Good Food, Good People: Marigold’s will be located at 1850 W. 39th St., in the former Panera Bread building, just steps across State Line Road and the University of Kansas Medical Center. Kory Roth will open Marigold’s with healthcare workers in mind (Roth’s wife Emily is a nurse at KU Med), offering a breakfast and lunch option for shift workers.
Food Around the Clock: Breakfast will be served all day, offering hot sandwiches, pastries, and coffee from the newly-opened Provis Coffee. The lunch menu features cold cut sandwiches, baked potatoes, and sides.
An exact open date is TBD, but expected this fall. Stay tuned!

The West Bottoms is Throwing a Block Party This Sunday
Neighboring businesses in the Stockyards District are teaming up to throw a West Bottoms Block Party this Sunday, October 11th.
Neighborly Spirits: The block party is happening from 3-9pm, and home base is the courtyard at The Campground, which will offer a special menu highlighting the neighborhood. Amigoni Urban Winery hosts a food truck and wine tastings from 12-5pm. West Bottoms Whiskey and Stockyards Brewing Co. are releasing a special collab whiskey bottle, and live music runs at Stockyards Brewing from 3-6pm.
Round 'Em Up: Stop by any participating business that day for one free raffle entry, with extra tickets available for purchase. The drawing is at 7pm at The Campground, right before a barrel burn and a pedal steel set from Nate Hofer. You must be present to win!
No tickets needed, just come on down! The Campground is located at 1531 Genessee St.
