Zambezi Zinger's Opening Delayed

Worlds of Fun
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Worlds of Fun, the theme park was set to unveil its newest attraction, sure to make you scream - either from fun or pure terror. The ride is a reimagination of the original coaster that opened in 1973.
Zambezi Zinger: The Zambezi Zinger, an African safari-themed rollercoaster, will open this season to thrill-seekers of KC. The first riders will be the 32 winners of a Big Slick-benefitting raffle when the ride opens.
Wild Ride: Featuring a length of 2,482 feet, riders will feel like they are racing through the African Serengeti at speeds of 45 mph for the ride’s 2-minute duration.
No Fast Pass: The Zinger was set to open today, May 25, with winners of the raffle being the first to experience the ride. However, Worlds of Fun issued a statement yesterday that the ride’s opening will be delayed to allow the team time to further prepare.
No timetable has been set for when the Zinger will officially open, but you can stay up to date by following Worlds of Fun’s website.
Real Estate
NKC or Streets of Europe?

Box Real Estate Development
North Kansas City is buzzing with excitement as groundbreaking real estate developments are on the horizon. Box Real Estate Development’s Blume NKC proposal is set to redefine the urban landscape, bringing a vertical approach to mixed-use development and adding a European live-work design to the neighborhood.
A Vertical Vision: Blume NKC is not your typical real estate development. This innovative project aims to maximize space and efficiency by mixing businesses and living spaces for a more lively neighborhood feel.
Transforming NKC: The introduction of Blume NKC signifies a significant step forward in the revitalization of North Kansas City. After most single-family homes went away in the 1970’s this project aims to mix the history of the area with the promise of the future.
Time to Build: After being purchased by Box Real Estate Developments, the 26 residences and 25,000 square feet of commercial space on city-owned property along Burlington Street, between 29th and 32nd avenues would likely be finished before 2025.

Homefield’s Nearly $1B Investment

Homefield LLC
The already pricy Homefield development in KCK is surpassing nearly $850 million as they add a live sports arena, golf complex, and art museum to the already wide-ranging entertainment offerings.
Margaritaville and More: As part of the Homefield project in KCK, plans are underway to bring a split-use Margaritaville resort and indoor sports haven to the area. The indoor sports arena will feature a massive 55,000-square-foot area for year-round sports play.
Worth the Drive: Along with the new additions comes Homefield’s take on an interactive golf concept, Big Shot. Similar to Top Golf, the plans are to have interactive games that players can play while they eat, drink, and socialize.
Economic Boom: With the recent additions pushing this Wyandotte County development to almost $1 billion, it’s no wonder KCK residents hope that it brings sports teams from across the country to eat, play, shop, and stay at the multi-unit attraction set to be fully open by 2025.
Business
Sometimes Less is More

TFL
Since the early 2000s, Tickets For Less, a well-known KC ticketing company has specialized in getting fans great deals on tickets. Recently, the need for a rebranding has emerged following its successful acquisition and ability to work with teams directly.
TFL's New Identity: Over the last several years, Tickets For Less had been working with teams directly to optimize attendance and ticket sales under the brand Ticket Solutions. In an attempt to bring both brands under the same umbrella, Tickets for Less and Ticket Solutions will now both be known as TFL.
Going Long: Even with their massive growth in the space over the last two decades of nearly $160 in revenue, the sky is the limit for TFL. Last year they acquired ATBS, a company that powers more than 300 ticketing sites across the country.
NFL🤝TFL: For fans who are used to going to the tickets for less site for the best deals on Chiefs tickets, they can still do so - for now. TFL will continue to operate the site for the time being under a dual-branded page with TFL to assist in the transition. You can also check out the new TFL site here to purchase all your local NFL and MLB tickets.
