Opening

A New Type Of Taproom

Scoby Masters Tea Biotics

An Olathe-based kombucha producer is opening a new taproom in the Crossroads district.

  • What’ll It Be?: Scoby Masters Tea-Biotics is opening a new taproom at 640 E. 18th St. in Kansas City. The taproom will feature 24 of Tea-Biotics kombucha’s small-batch flavors.

  • Bartender, I’ll Have Another: Tea-Biotics already owns a taproom attached to its almost 14,000-square-foot production facility in Olathe that offers all 48 of its flavors. The facility was purchased just before the pandemic with the goal of expanding nationally.

  • National Distribution: Tea-Biotics is now selling its kombucha flavors in regional grocers like Hy-Vee and Dillons in flavors like blueberry, hibiscus watermelon, #BeachLife, and elderberry grape.

The new taproom in the Crossroads opens tomorrow. If you can’t wait, the Olathe location is open every day, except Sunday, from 9-5.
