KC Daily Turns One! 🥳

Today is a big day for us at KC Daily! Exactly one year ago today, we sent out our very first newsletter. A lot has changed since then (see for yourself), and it’s been fun reflecting on the changes in the past year.

We sent our first newsletter to 67 people. And we were only sending 2x/week. And frankly, we didn’t really know what we were doing (but it was fun!)

We can’t wait to see what year two will bring. But one thing is certain, we couldn’t do it without YOU, our readers. Your encouraging words, referrals, and feedback have helped us get to where we are today.

Who Wants to Live Like a Millionaire?

According to a recent survey by Zillow, there are two “million-dollar” cities in the Kansas City metro. To make the list, the cities must have a Zillow Home Value Index score of over $1 million. Here are the local cities named:

• Mission Hills, KS: Mission Hills ranked highest in Kansas (in fact it was the only city in Kansas named on the 550-city list), and 270th nationally. The typical home value here sits around $1.4 million.

• Village of Loch Lloyd, MO: Loch Lloyd was one of five Missouri cities named (the other four are in the St. Louis metro) and it came in at #490 on the list. The typical home value sits at $1.07 million.

• For the Kids: This event takes place at their Farm Market & Gardens (23200 MO-273 North) and provides job training experiences to individuals with developmental disabilities. Proceeds go right back to their mission of empowering the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Flowers for a Cause: The annual Flower Sale will have beautiful hanging baskets, geranium tubs, annuals, perennials, and much more. On Saturday, they will also have live music, free samples, and hot apple fritters from our Farm to Fork Kitchen from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. while you shop.

Let’s get sweaty! Kansas City’s favorite country music concert series is back with Miller Lite Hot Country Nights set to begin at the Power and Light District on June 6th. Here is this summer’s lineup:
