A New Cocktail Bar Opens Today in the Lobby of No Vacancy

Le lounge

If you’re into aesthetically pleasing spaces, this story is for you. Le lounge is celebrating its grand opening in No Vacancy Guesthouse and Gathering Place TODAY!

  • Sights and Sips: Le lounge will serve as a cocktail bar and gathering space in the lobby of No Vacancy, an 8-room boutique hotel and event space in the heart of the Crossroads. The incredibly picture-worthy spot will be available to rent for photoshoots, private parties, and events.

  • Hot Spot: The trendy and tasteful design of the space has attracted local celebrities such as Heidi Gardner, who rented out the entire hotel in 2023 when she hosted a 25-person Kansas City party. We agree with Gardner that No Vacancy is one of the Best Hotels in Kansas City.

The grand opening celebration will take place tonight from 6 pm - 1 am, as well as Friday and Saturday night. There is no cover charge to get in.

The City of Kansas City has opened an RFP (request for proposal) for the historic Plaza Tennis Center site.

  • Ace Serve: The city is seeking redevelopment ideas for the site at Mill Creek & Ward Parkway, which currently features 14 courts, a pro shop, and a concession stand. The request comes after the sale of Country Club Plaza to new owners and the streetcar extension to the area.

  • Out with the Old: The city hopes that development proposals would include residential multi-family units, transit-oriented development, ground-floor retail, and more. The relocation of existing tennis court facilities is also a priority, according to city manager Brian Platt.
